Consider several points as to why your water heater is leaking. You have to inspect each part thoroughly to find out what's causing the problem. Doing this won't waste a single of your time, effort and energy while the repair is ongoing.

It is wise to call in a specialist if your water heater is still within its warranty period. Do not attempt to repair it on your own as this can void the warranty instantly. When this happens, you may end up having a faulty water heater with a zero warranty, leading to a more costly repair.

Old water heaters tend to malfunction and act up with its complicated mechanisms. Repairing a unit without professional help can pose serious dangers to you and your family. Do not put your life at risk and contact your local lumber to ensure your safety and protection.

Anticipate a thread of water heater issues if your unit hasn't been maintained for a while. Water can easily leak if you have loose plumbing connections, faulty valves, corroded internal components and rusty tank lining. Inspect these areas from time to time to prevent further damage.
