Tithing Is Spiritual And Beneficial To The Soul
The Old Testament is clear when it comes to tithing. It says to bring 10% of your wealth to the church. Christians today are battling on whether or not they should tithe. The truth of the matter is that money is where your heart is. You cannot possibly have a lot of faith in God if you do not tithe. I say this because you should be able to give God 100% of your wealth each week if you trust in him. God will provide for you. However, he only asks you for 10%. People that tithe say that their faith in God grows because of it.
In the Old Testament, it is said that God told Abraham to tithe 10% of all that he owned. In return, God said that he would pour out a blessing for him and bless his home with many blessings. He would receive so many blessings that he would not have enough room to count them all. However, many Christians that tithe say that it doesn't work. Many Christians say that when they tithe, their finances often get worse or nothing out of the ordinary happens. However, you have other Christians that say they are wealthy because of tithing? What do you believe and why? There seems to be a different response to spiritual tithing.
Giving 10% of your money to God is actually a commitment. It builds faith and character. When you tithe, a spiritual protection starts to go over you. You begin to see protection overflowing in your life. You may think that you are about to lose your job and then all of a sudden you get a raise. God can move upon the hearts of your employer and make them see a value in keeping you. It is important to always be honest with God. If you fear tithing, it is okay. Most people fear giving 10% of their money to the church each month. God will put you through a series of tests in order to see if you are willing to give your 10% even though you are under great financial pressure.
As believers in Christ, we must realize that tithing often takes a lot out of us. We often look at the tithe as being painful for us to do. Is it easier to tithe $100,000 a year if we earn 1 million dollars or tithing $500.00 if we earn $5,000? Experts say that it is harder to tithe more money because you are actually seeing yourself writing larger checks. Many millionaires do not tithe because they fear losing their money. However, it is important to tithe because God is always looking out for us in different ways. God promises to protect our finances.
If you are experiencing extreme loss, you can actually ask yourself how life changes for you on a regular basis. Always think of yourself as being the kind of person that can change as faith changes. Life is always a new beginning for most people. Most people have the idea that their life moves forward because of what they are giving to their church.
