He or she will then apply tissue adhesives or sutures to reconfigure and smooth the areas around your eyelids.

After the procedure, the surgeon will apply a topical antibiotic ointment. On the first day after the procedure, you should apply cold packs every hour that you are awake for about ten to fifteen minutes at a time. The ice will reduce the swelling and minimize bruising. On the second day, you may apply cold packs every few hours for about ten to fifteen minutes at a time. Your surgeon will inform you about the pain medicines you can take, if necessary.
