Amazing Things To Do In Naples, Florida

Amazing Things To Do In Naples, Florida

by Jony Mozen

Naples in Southwest Florida is known as The Paradise Coast because of the splendid climate and the endless list of fun and interesting things to do like Everglades Area Tours. Enjoy a guided boat tour in the 10,000 Islands; experience kayak fishing in the Everglades National Park backcountry; canoe through magnificent mangrove tunnels; enjoy a guided bicycle tour through old-growth cypress hammocks; catch tarpon and snook on a guided fishing trip; hike into the prairies, wetlands and sloughs to find rare orchids; take a guided birding trip; or over fly the entire area in a float plane. Combine tours in a single day or over several days to enjoy the small town ambience of our waterside community. Be it on foot, bicycle, kayak, canoe, powerboat, and/or airplane, you will enjoy a complete experience with Everglades Area Tours. Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour. The most popular eco-adventure combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great experience - a kayak transport boat transports you to some of the most beautiful and remote areas of the park, then the tour slows down to a "hands-on" eco-experience. Very stable, comfortable kayaks get you close to the park's flora and fauna. You will continue your interpretive experience with a walking tour on pristine barrier island beach seldom visited by others. Powerboat ECO Tours. Everglades Area Tours' Marco Island Birding, Wildlife and Photo Tours are a wonderful adventure for the whole family. Since most of the 1.5-million acres in the park are flooded and essentially out of reach for the average birder and photographers, their tours take you to areas seldom reached by others where you can see some of over 300 species of birds throughout the year and learn about the Everglades eco-systems, its rich heritage and long history. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, alligators, rosette spoonbills, and more. Guided Everglades Bicycle Eco-Tours. Observe Everglades and 10,000 Islands, Big Cypress Preserve and Fakahatchee Strand in their natural state. Traveling by bicycle lets you explore this subtropical paradise of cypress swamps, freshwater marshes, wet and dry prairies, and rare tropical hardwood hammocks at a comfortable pace. Few places in the world can rival the variety and diversity of the more than 440 species of birds, mammals and reptiles.
