If there was one animal that can lay claim to being the undisputed ruler of literally everything above the water and below the sky, it is humanity. Not only will the equipment used in the process cost quite a bit of money, though it should be noted that the client likely will not have to purchase the equipment, the people who actually work those tools are also going to want to be paid for their time. Which is why clients should be ready to dole out a check or two.
If there is risk, then something is not being done right. When the probe is properly maintained and responsibly used, then it should function as intended. As such, if someone dies or is hurt, then there was a misstep somewhere in the planning process.
