The Concealed Weapons Laws And Why You Should Not Be Caught Off-guard

The Concealed Weapons Laws And Why You Should Not Be Caught Off-guard

by Larry Kelly

We seem to have folks who want to have gun owners lose their rights to own firearms. There is an anti-gun agenda to keep pushing until that happens. Today, they are starting with assault rifles, tomorrow they will move to go after other guns, making it almost unbearable to own anything that fires a bullet. The concealed weapons laws have been with for years now. Over the years running a think tank, I've been a lot more concerned with other more serious WMD abilities that criminals, terrorists, or humanity haters might develop or currently have the technology and know-how to bring them to fruition - bioweapons for instance - that is really scary stuff, a lot worse than assault weapons. Okay so, let's talk shall we?

Eleven states require some sort of waiting period between the purchase of a firearm and the delivery of the firearm. These laws apply to the sale of all firearms, handguns only, long guns only, or handguns and assault weapons; and vary in length from 48 hours to two weeks for delivery.

Take example of Florida, the Sunshine State has some of the strictest gun regulations in the nation. There are multiple laws in Florida that criminalize the possession of firearms or weapons by certain people or certain uses of weapons or firearms.

If you have food and other supplies stocked up, you will be able to have the luxury of staying in the safety of your home when there is chaos in the streets instead of going out into what becomes a food riot.

To give you a sample of this in Massachusetts assuming that you are accused of owning an immobilizer you can confront a fine of up to $1000 and up to 2 years in penitentiary. Immobilizers work amazing for self-preservation however depending on if you exist in one of these ranges you are much better off utilizing a different elective.

The Florida legislature understands that we are living in a dangerous crazy world, and they do not want their residents to feel like they are not able to protect themselves for fear of legal ramifications. The is why they created a law which gives every person in the state the right to defend themselves by whatever means necessary should they have reason to believe that their life is being threatened.

Only three states, Florida, Illinois, and Texas, prohibit the open carrying of handguns in public. Thirty-five states allow persons to carry handguns in public without a permit, but three of those states require the handgun be unloaded. The remaining twelve states allow for the open carry of handguns but require a valid permit. Most states, however, do have exceptions that prohibit the open carry of handguns in certain places such as schools and school zones, state-owned buildings, courthouses, places where alcohol is served or sold, and on public transportation.

Florida has seen a rise in Justifiable Homicides and Murders that involve a gun. These statistics can mean several things. More people are able to protect themselves, and an increase in murders with a gun does not necessarily mean an increase of murders or that the guns were legal. It is difficult to look at statistics and see exactly what is going on with a state, and many statistics can be used in order to skew the truth.
