Every Fort Myers School Has Its Advantages
Fort Myers Florida schools and colleges have many different campuses where one can choose the best place to continue ones education. There are both public and private Fort Myers School institutes and they are all approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. They are one of six regional organisations accepted by the United States Department of Education as well as the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.
The main language is English but there are others that speak Spanish, French and German. Dunbar High had a Science team who came in fifteenth overall in the 2007 Florida State Science Olympiad. It was first established in 1926 and then again in 2000. It is home to the Academy of Technology Excellence and for Maths and Science. These students are given the opportunity to listen to many special guest speakers as well as an optional study period called the CMS Research.
They have been very successful in the Science and Engineering Fair and recently received first place in the Science Regional Completion at FAU. In 2005 they began the Academy for Technology Excellence where the students are prepared to excel in technologically advanced society. It is only offered from the ninth to twelfth grades by highly certified instructors. The students are given the opportunity to get twelve or more industry computer certifications in technology.
Microsoft has recognised that Dunbar High as the nation's first Microsoft Certified High Schooling center and has provided vouches to all students. They have also been there and have filmed a documentary about them. This is just confirmation that this is definitely one of the best schools to send ones child. Each of their students is taught to work as a team.
Southwest Florida College or SWFC for short is a private college and has campuses in Fort Myers as well as Tampa and Port Charlotte. They were founded in 1974 and offer on line programs. They are located close to Edison Mall and offer many different career training programs.
The main aim is to help develop caring, knowledgeable and inquiring young people who are more willing to help create a better world through respect and understanding. This organisation is working with schools as well as international and governments to create a testing programme. They are trying to encourage students from all around the globe to be more compassionate and active as well as to understand that people are all different and that they can also be right.
The FMHS is the only place that offers an Academy of Finance programme and it also caters for the blind and deaf student population. Not only do they have a wonderful educational program but they also have about thirty athletic teams. They have teachers on their faculty that have won the Golden Apple award.
It offers more than eighty different programs which include Health Science, Justice Studies, Business and Technology and Design. In 2010 it bought in programs relating to Internet marketing. Fort Myers Florida Schools offer many opportunities for further study. The world is ones oyster where anyone who has put their mind to a certain profession, can be achieved through these schools.
