Attaining A Beneficial Natural Athlete Look Carefully Is The Heart Of A Sunblock Tan

For men and women alike, health and beauty are coveted, with a healthy sunblock tan ranking high as a desirable trait. There is a sound scientific basis for the popularity of the sunblock tan; not only is it visually appealing, it is a marker of good health. As with so many things dealing with the human condition, moderation is the key.

To get a true healthy sunblock tan, one must turn to the source of energy for the planet; the sun. In addition to providing the true source of nutrition through photosynthesis, it impacts many other facets of life as well. It is so vital that the most accepted theory for the extinction of the dinosaurs is the temporary blockage of the sun, which was nearly complete a terminal event.

Mankind has long worshipped Deities that represented and controlled the events he could not otherwise understand. Gods of fire, water, earth and the sun demonstrated respect for the critical elements that created earth itself. The sun was particularly revered, and now science is catching up, with evidence indicating the orb affects how man lives and some mechanisms leading to death.

Deep within the brain there is an endocrine gland known as the pineal gland, whose purpose is not entirely clear. What science knows is that the gland produces a derivative of serotonin known as melatonin, which helps regulate human sleep and wake cycles. Melatonin also plays a role in the ability to attain a sunblock tan, by controlling the aggregation of melanocytes in the skin.

Another common knowledge impact of sunlight is that it makes most people feel better, in addition to the attractive sunblock tan they can achieve. Biologically the reason is melatonin, produced by the pineal, which regulates drowsiness. The release is inhibited directly by the influence of sunlight on the retina of the eye; the presence of the sunlight inhibits the release.

When it comes to disease, the solar ultraviolet rays can be a direct or indirect influence. Developing a healthy sunblock tan may inhibit some ailments and risk others. Solar exposure may inhibit the development of multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis is widely known to afflict a disproportionately larger number of individuals who live in northern latitudes, the greater the latitude, the higher the incidence of mortality from the disease.

Exposure to solar radiation appears to stave off MS, and it also helps the body produce vitamin D from cholesterol. As with so many other things, however, too much can be detrimental even for the purpose of getting a sunblock tan. Staying in the sun too long results in a sunburn, which can be a serious and painful affliction; with chronic exposure, skin cancer can develop.

Science has determined that the rays are made up of three ultraviolet frequencies known simply as A, B and C. With this knowledge, a number of ointments have been developed for protection. In the pursuit of the perfect degree of sunblock tan, one must carefully use the protection and regulate the length of exposure for best results.
